Is there a good way to tan yourself without risk of skin cancer or orange skin?

Depends on where in the world you are.

You can use tanning creams, etc. Newer ones tend to be better than older products.

Sunbeds give out about 5 times the amount of UV of the Sun. Recently there has been a fuss in Australia, and a young woman got a lot of publicity, cause she was dying from skin cancer. Politicans responded by setting up controls on such businesses.

The closer you live to the Equator, the more UV in the light reaching the Earth surface. So the less time you can spend out in the sunlight before getting sunburn. If you get sunburn, you have probably considerably increased your risk of skin cancer.

If you do go out in the sun, you should use SPF+30, and limit your exposure time. Over a period of a week or two, a few minutes at a time, depending on the time of day, and location is adequate to get a slow buildup. Note that in Queensland, 20 mins at noon is too much in Summer.|||hollywood tans...mystic tan...its a spray tan and it works so good!!!!!|||They are coming out with a new way to tan your skin that wont be bad for your skin. Its still being tested %26amp; worked on so its not out yet but it will be soon! But for now all you can do is get a spray tan or a good self tan lotion. I hope this helps! Good Luck :)|||no|||dove tan cream|||Try using Johnsons Holiday Skin Body Lotion-fair to normal, normal to dark (depending on your skin type).

This product protects you from those hamful UV rays whilst giving you that hot summer tan all year round.

It doesnt make you go orange but if you over apply (particually on your hands) the colour may differ.

Make sure you wash your hands after use but dont wash up to much otherwise your hands will be lighter than the rest if your body and it looks weird.

Use daily until you reach desired colour and every 2-3 days after that.

You could also try other lotions or sprays. Good Luck!|||Tanning always increases the risk of skin cancer.|||Moderation...sunscreens.. not sure about the orange skin, I%26#039;ve not tried the professional spray on tan, that may work. Just don%26#039;t go outside to bask without sunscreens, or go to the tanning beds without lotions, they keep your skin moist and help keep you from drying out.|||A spray tan done at your local beauticion x|||You can obtain Self Tanners Generally @ a Walgreens or CVS.... BUT be very astute... some suck %26amp; some are ACTUALLY GOOD..... Tanning Pills too.... but once again BE VERY ASTUTE....|||loreal sublime bronze tanning lotion or spray. I%26#039;ve been using it for 3 years, and have never been orange or streaky. the lotion has a tint and shimmer to it, so you can see where you%26#039;ve applied it already.|||Jergens%26#039; Natural Glow is a gradual self-tanner. It%26#039;s cheap, but works well. I don%26#039;t need to use it but I have friends that do and they don%26#039;t look orange.
