My new born son has really dry skin and bumps on his forehead?

My son is a week and a half years old and his hands and feet are peeling. Also I noticed that he has little tiny rough bumps on his forehead. When I rub his head it starts to peel too. What is this and what can I do to get rid of it?|||the dry skin is normal. babys usually shed the first layer of skin... my baby did aswell and my doc asked me not to put any lotion on him until atleast 2 weeks. the dry skin on the forhead is cradle cap and this will continue onto the babies scalp... this is normal. you can pick up a cradle cap brush from babies r us. hold your baby over the sink and was his hair everyday and gently brush his scalp with the cradlecap brush. this is all normal. i had the same questions for my doctor. i was concerned about the dry skin and the forhead peeling.|||the skin will peel. the first skin that babies have when they come out of the womb is very thin and soft and will look ashy and eventually peel off. this is very normal. the bumps are probably baby acne. this is left over estrogen in the baby%26#039;s bloodstream that he got from you while in the womb. eventually the estrogen will work it%26#039;s way out of the body and the acne clears up around 8 weeks old or so. don%26#039;t use any acne medicines or harsh soap as his skin is very sensitive. just keep it clean with baby soap and it will clear up.

in female babies, some actually experience bleeding like a period in their first couple of weeks of life, from the estrogen hormones.|||Thats normal, it just what happens to a baby when they are first born, nothing to worry about|||it is frustrating for a baby to suffer from dry skin. his skin needs special and tender treatment for a baby%26#039;s skin is super sensitive. you need to be cautious of finding the best moisturizer that can help heal his skin fast and safely. choose a non-perfumed and hypoallergenic moisturizer, choose the one that has all natural ingredients for it can be best for all skin types and for all ages. keep the baby%26#039;s skin as dry as possible. avoid skin irritants. visit http://www.skinsosilky.com for tips on how beat dry skin.|||it might be cradle cap on his head, which is eczema. that might be whats on the rest of him too. our babys has it we just use lubriderm or nivea on her. they make brushes for the cradle cap, but don%26#039;t worry about it too much if its not bugging him. its just dry skin (the bumps too)|||my daughter is now 18 days. her skin was also terribly dry and was constantly peeling when i first brought her home. her feet were so cracked i feared the skin was painful to touch. she had baby acne too (those tiny bumps that sorta look like a rash). her skin is just now almost done clearing up. i always wipe her down with warm water and johnson baby wash and lotion her up with lubriderm. u gotta keep n mind that for 9 months ur baby was living in water, so when it comes out the air and environment is drying the skin out. it doesnt take long to get everything back on track. just dont put unnecessary stuff on his skin...|||He went from an all water environment to a dry changing environment. This is all normal. Don%26#039;t pick the bumps and a little lotion will be find.
