What is the best prescrition for razor-sensitive skin?

Each time I shave my facial hair, whether by razor or trimmer, i get a severe skin irritation. I have tried all kinds of products but nothing really works. I really would appreciate any advice on what I can do to keep a smooth skin after shaving.|||Something they say for women (I know you%26#039;re not but.....) use a hair conditioner, something thicker that maybe is in a tube type of dispenser, as your %26quot;shaving lotion%26quot;. It makes the skin very soft and conditioned and shaves very smoothly and close. Don%26#039;t see why it wouldn%26#039;t work for you, too. Try it. I hope so much that it works for you.|||That%26#039;s one reason guys use after shave.

After shave uses an astringent to help soothe the skin and contract or close up the skin after shaving. It will also help to firm and tone the skin.

Try using Witch Hazel, which is also an astringent. It%26#039;s inexpensive and is available in any supermarket or drug store.

Splash a small amount between your hands, and then pat where ever you%26#039;ve shaved. It may sting for just a couple of seconds. You can towel it off after 10 or 20 seconds and it%26#039;ll feel real good afterwords.

There are some witch hazels (called hydrosols or hydrolats) that contain alcohol. Do not use one of these. You just want %26quot;drug store%26quot; witch hazel.

Good luck.
